Sovvar Digital Services is responsible for the personal information it collects directly. We aim to process it fairly and securely in line with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Your name, email address, phone number and organisation.
- Project requirements, content, files and messages you send to us.
- Package selection, invoice information, transaction reference and payment confirmation.
- Support requests, feedback and records of our communication.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting and security providers may process basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, requested page, date and time, and security events. We do not use this website to collect your full card number, PIN, account password or mobile-money authorisation credential.
2. Why we use information
We use relevant information to:
- respond to enquiries and prepare a requested quote;
- confirm an order, payment and project scope;
- provide, support and improve contracted services;
- communicate about delivery, revisions and account security;
- maintain business, tax and transaction records;
- prevent fraud, misuse and technical threats; and
- meet legal and regulatory obligations or establish legal claims.
3. Grounds for processing
Depending on the situation, we process information because it is needed to take steps at your request or perform a contract, because you gave consent, because we have a lawful and proportionate business interest, or because the law requires it. You may withdraw consent where consent is the applicable ground, although this does not affect earlier lawful processing.
4. Paystack and payment data
When you select a payment button, you leave this website and continue to a page operated by Paystack. Paystack collects and processes payment credentials under its own Ghana privacy and service terms.
We may receive limited transaction information needed to identify the payer, verify the amount, provide the purchased service, keep financial records and handle refunds or disputes. We do not control the security or retention practices of an external payment page.
5. When information is shared
We may share only what is reasonably necessary with:
- Paystack and relevant financial institutions for payment, refund and fraud-prevention purposes;
- hosting, email, domain and technical service providers supporting the project or this website;
- professional advisers where necessary for accounting, legal or security assistance;
- public authorities or other parties when required by law, valid legal process, safety or protection of rights; and
- a successor involved in a legitimate business transfer, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.
We do not sell personal information.
6. International processing
Some technology providers may process information outside Ghana. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to use providers and arrangements that protect information consistently with applicable data-protection requirements.
7. Retention
We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably required for the purpose collected, an active project, support, security, dispute resolution and applicable business or legal record-keeping duties. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymise or securely dispose of it.
8. Security
We apply reasonable organisational and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and the service. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure. You should avoid sending passwords, PINs or full payment credentials by email or phone and should notify us promptly if you believe project access has been compromised.
9. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to certain processing. You may also object to direct marketing and raise a concern with Ghana’s Data Protection Commission.
To protect your information, we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Contact sovvardigitalhub@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy request.” You can learn more from the Ghana Data Protection Commission.
10. Children
Our commercial software services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly request personal information directly from a child who lacks the legally required permission. Contact us if you believe a child’s information was submitted improperly.
